Costume Costumes will include thing such as tracksuits, hoodies, jeans (baggy), black masks and gloves. Masks will be used to create enigma codes of action, crime and mystery. Baggy jeans will be used to emphasise the urban environment my characters are from. Lighting I will use whatever lighting is outside to create a more authentic feeling, and cosidering It will be shot in London it will most likely look very gloomy. anything inside will have natural lighting to create and continue that realistic feeling. If needed I will use phones flashlights to make it brighter. Actors My characters will be played by people who can easily portray the character they need to, and I will show each gang as always being together to symbolise them as being united and supportive of each other. Statement of intent My movie will be about two rival gangs, in West London who's on going feud is re-fuelled. The war will be fuelled by trying to take over turf. The movie will mainly focus on the highest ranking members from O13 and low ranking members from the mafia who will be portrayed as street thugs. The rivalling gangs are O13 and an unnamed mafia. My movie will reinforce stereotypes of Black people joining gangs from a young age, and Eastern European mafias. I will give stereotypical clothing to both sides. O13 will be wearing baggy jeans, big puffer jackets, hoodies etc, and the Thugs will be wearing Adidas tracksuits. Film trailer 1: Narrative and genre The narrative behind "The intent" follows a group called TIC and their come-up. It focuses on how the group goes on a murderous spree of robberies after the success of the first one. The trailer showcases the robberies briefly giving the viewer a small insight on each of the characters and a backstory of one of the characters giving the viewer a hint of what may come up in the movie. It's loosely linked to the coming of age genre, and is more of an urban action drama, but aspects of the coming of age genre are present with the childhood of one of the characters being shown.
