1) List the key conventions of a film poster. Key images, Cast, Reviews, Mise-En-Scene, Title, Main Character names, Star Reviews, Production company, background image, Release date, tag-line, cast and crew. 2) What makes a film poster instantly recognisable? The key image/background image, people will recognise the poster visually first before focusing in and seeing the title, therefore the image has to be catchy and very unique, and then the title also needs to be catchy so once someones attention is caught, the title draws them in further. 3) What are regarded as some of the best film posters of all time? Why? Jaws has one of the most iconic movie posters of all time due to it's creativity, but also the message is sends along as from simply seeing the poster you can begin to make assumptions about what the movie may be about and how the plot unravels. On top of that the poster is rather simplistic whilst still communicating an effective image. This style of poster has now b

Tutorial

Kacper Coursework checklist: Statement of Intent final draft: Submitted but will need another draft – still light on representation and film poster sections. However, much stronger overall and your concept comes through clearly whereas previously it was pretty vague. Filming latest: Nothing filmed – half-term filming didn’t happen then illness intervened in the fortnight after half-term. Will film this weekend and then start editing in school next week. You will have some lesson time to edit but will need to commit significant time (free periods/after school) to get this production work completed.  Print planning: Not started this yet – still 10 days before deadline but need to start prioritising this shortly. Start the research and planning for the film posters on Monday and then that gives you a week to complete. Next steps: ·          Copy and paste this feedback to your Media 2 coursework blog with the title ‘Coursework tutorial feedback and learner respon

Statement of intent (improved)

Statement of intent My movie “From the Dirt” will focus on an on-going conflict between a street gang  and young  street raised teens from a socially deprived area. The conflict takes place in West London, and is centred on the goal of making money. It will show their struggles and risks they take to make their money. My trailer will show the struggle Wiktor and Igor go through in this lifestyle and environment, focusing on the pressures of not only earning money by any means but also growing up as a teen and conflict between his life of crime, school and personal relationships.  I will be using several props which I will not over show explicitly due to the trailer having to fit in with the watershed requirements. I will still show and imply some sort of violence but keep it limited and not too Gorey or bloody as it may become too much for a younger audience. I will also keep swearing out of the script as too much can so that  my movie not fitting in with the watershed hours.
