Film trailer 1: Narrative and genre The narrative behind "The intent" follows a group called TIC and their come-up. It focuses on how the group goes on a murderous spree of robberies after the success of the first one. The trailer showcases the robberies briefly giving the viewer a small insight on each of the characters and a backstory of one of the characters giving the viewer a hint of what may come up in the movie. It's loosely linked to the coming of age genre, and is more of an urban action drama, but aspects of the coming of age genre are present with the childhood of one of the characters being shown.
