The narrative behind this music video is that 50 Cent get's shot (which links to the song) and after he's hospitalised and recovers he get's revenge for what has happened to him.

The representation is stereotypical towards African American's as they're all shown as gangsters, whereas the only appearances of white people are as law enforcement and paramedics.

The intertextuality could be linked to the real life shooting 50 Cent was involved in where he was actually shot 9 times. It also refers to the shooting of Tupac.

The target audience would be most likely have been teens but as the music video has aged, this video and song would appeal so slightly older audiences as they would have listened the song growing up.

The song was produced by: Darrell "Digga" Branch, Eminem and Luis Resto.
The video was directed by Jessy Tererro

The use of "Lowrider" cars and "The Hood" insipred a lot of future artists to follow in the same tracks, and include these things in their own music videos.

A music video these days is typically made AFTER the song blows up and once it becomes popular people would ask for a music video, and feeding of that same success artists would create a music video to get people to come back and re listen to the song.
