3) Now reflect on your video. Did you meet the brief and successfully include the three key editing aspects we have learned?

 We missed the reverse shot, and we missed the door match on action. We also had really low audio which we need to improve for next time.

4) What were the strengths and weaknesses of your final film? Write a detailed analysis picking out specific shots, edits and any other aspect of film language you think is relevant.

Our strengths where our acting, location and multiple camera shots (cinematography). For example my acting after Mojo got slapped, the location as a whole offered a lot of potential for camera shots and angles which we used such as us walking down the stairs. Another good angle was the pan on Saira when she was sitting on the stairs.

Our weaknesses would be the not following the brief and quiet audio. As for the brief not being followed we completely forgot about the shots that HAD to be in the video, and as for the audio being quiet it was due to us not facing the camera.

5) Learner response: what aspect of editing did you find most difficult? How will you further develop your editing skills prior to starting the coursework in June?

 Piecing the slap to the slow mo found to be difficult (Math on action) as it was hard to time it perfectly.

Captial: Case Study

1) What positive points do the reviews pick out about  Capital ? It addresses a lot of aspects of real diverse London life, and the actors very well depict 'the loneliness of London life'. 2) What criticisms are made - either of the TV drama or the original novel? The characters were underdeveloped, with too much happening before we now the characters equlilibrium enough to empathise with them. 3) How does the TV drama change the time period and location for the story in comparison to the original novel? They move location to suit the written characters more because of the gentrification of the original location. Also, some characters were left out of the TV drama in order for the directros to be able to focus on the few storylines they did keep in the show while modifying it. 4) In the Telegraph 'behind the scenes' article, what does the writer say about the London housing market? 1) Re-read the  Mail Online review of  Capital . Why does it suggest that  Capital  features a left-wing ideology? It suggests that there's a Left-wing Ideology due to how positively all the minorities are presented. Also the suggestion that British people are being put down by the series as he claims "Everything British came in for a dose of loathing" 2) Choose three quotes from the review that are particularly critical of  Capital  and paste them into your blogpost. Do you agree with the criticisms? Why? " With a fizzle like a firework on a wet night" " The last 20 minutes contained no plot."
